  • Re: Beogram 1100 turning slow

A new belt perhaps but the main part of the repair cost will cover labour hours rather than parts and 2 or 3 hours will pass quickly. Martin

  • Re: Beovox 5700 Tweeter repair?

Francoisvl, PM me any details you have on the tweeter or a photo. I may have a good used one in stock but need to know the exact type to tell for sure. Martin

  • Re: BM 1900 misbehaving!!

The correct lamps are 12-15V 1W. Unfortunately some service manuals give wrong specs. A couple of different glass envelopes can be found but all are interchangeable since they are soldered in rather than plugged. A lamp kit is available, containing a full set of correct lamps and mounting instructions. Martin

  • Re: The essentials!

Beomaster 1000 Nice receiver indeed but a headache for a collector like I. Some have danish dials, others only the channel and frequency figures. Some are germanium, some silicium, some have a voltage setting switch, others are built for one voltage only etc.etc.etc. At least 17 basic types and at least 100 subversions. I have about 60 or 70 or these

Yes, as Peter suggests, check the wiring to the solenoid. There's a bunch of soldered wires and some switches on the left side of the carriage, check them all, also the switches. Martin

    Nice collectors piece none-the-less. Martin

No glass on a BM1900 but the impedance thought is not bad. It can be the volume control system itself that has taken a too high impedance, maybe a transistor with a thermic problem, presumably near the input from the touchfield. Note that there are two different versions of volume control PCB used in the BM1900/2400 (16 steps and 128 steps). New version

I don't have any of the round (cross section) belts but the problem is probably not the belt in this case. I would check out the speed selecting mechanism, it tends to seize with age and will require cleaning and relubrication. You need to have a look below decks and watch the motor, idler wheel, selector etc. and look for something not working

  • Re: AAarrghh!! Bad case of the Beocenter 2200 blues ...

Tapedeck; Do both reels rotate in the 2 seconds it plays or only one ? Is the sound OK while playing ? If only one reel is moving (the left one), the transport mechanism is bad and the deck will need repair or replacement. If both rotate it could be a sign that the belt for the motion sensor is no good or missing. The rest of the belts (3 in total)
