  • Re: The essentials!

Thanks for the info and photos, it's very interesting. Some BM1000's have a label similar to that at the rear found inside, often at the vertical divider right under the dial, visible by dismounting the top cover but I won't ask to you to dismount the Beomaster just for this. The numbers, you gave, suggests that this is one of more subversions

Check that the top cover with the lid is mounted correctly, fully aligned and that all screws at the rear side are tightened. The screws tiny washers should be visible just below the screws heads. Still bad - place a piece of thin plastic sheet or similar behind the "Open" button at the front. Cut to size and it can be glued to the backside

Stephen Pratty: > any version(s) with 6 voltages at the setting switch, I've only seen photos. I can confirm these exist - the switch goes 150 220 130 250 110 240 on the back of my white key model in teak Steve Yes, we saw photos of it on the old forum. I clearly remember. But I don't recall if we ever found out the type number and eventual

Yes, the Beovox C2300 is a rebadged Beovox C40 sold in the Netherlands for use with exactly the Beomaster 2300. I also miss the Beovox 3800 which were a UK only model. Unlike the C2300 this was a unique speaker and not just a rebadged one. They come up from time to time but are too heavy for most people to ship across the water. Besides, I am not really

Yes, both but only the Beocenter 3600 in palisander (arrived from the UK completely damaged but has now been restored) and 2x beomaster 2300 in teak (last one from Lee, thanks!) so still missing a couple of finishes. Also missing the Beovox C2300 - it never ends. Martin

  • Re: Jet 505K

The JET505K is relatively rare. The last one I saw sold for apprx EUR 1600 and it was complete but in need of restoration. They rarely sell for less than EUR 1000. EUR 550 seems a bargain and if you are looking for a JET505K you really should think about it, they don't come up very often. Electronic repairs are indeed possible but of course not

jandyt: Would you notice if half of them went missing? (Clitheroe) Andy T. Most items in this particular section are all fairly well documented and numbered and I do have a fairly good memory of what I own, so yes I would notice. The majority of my collection, however, is still packed in large boxes and stored away in different locations so even if
