Actually looking at the listing again apart from local pickup only the pictures were pretty poor and the description didn't do much for the sale lol! I think they could have got a better price with a little more effort tbh!

I never said silent Jaqces, I said whisper quiet which is different Of course if I listen I can hear the motor but it really is very quiet. I can hear the clicking of the carriage switches (despite not being micro switches) but of course in an absolutely silent room I might hear it more. I will have to compare my 8000 with the 4000 so I will report

How should it be audible Soren? I guess though it depends how you define audible doesn't it! I must have an exceptional 4000 & 8000 or maybe it is the method I use to clean 'em up All the plastic motor cariage servos I have are noiser than the metal ones, some to a greater extent than others!

If I run my 4000 without a record it is whisper quiet, and should be as far as I am aware! Only thing you hear (without looking for noises) is the speed change relay and the start stop micro switches. My 400x's with plastic servo motors are a different matter though! I can hear them clearly! Some early 400x's have the better built metal servo
