I am in the mood for a new B and O toy. Any suggestions which one I should I should get? A Beosound 5 or a Beosound 9000? Current system is one room with a BV7-55 with BL 9s and 4000s. Second room has BV10-40 with BL1s and 6000s. Also in that room is a Beosound 3000. Both rooms are Masterlinked to an iMac with BL4000s. N.Music and N.Radio for the system

Dealer has done some more checking and does think it will work, although my Beosound 3000 needs a an updated chip. I do not currently have Option 5 and 6. 3000 going in for update Monday.

My dealer is telling me that it does not matter what software the 3000 has, that the 3000 can never be used as a local source and that there is no software version that will allow it to be used as a local source. If I am understanding what you are saying option 5 or 6 would allow it to function as a local source, if my Beosound 3000 allows those

Any other thoughts on this? I am considering adding a Beosound 9000 to my system. Dealer tells me that I could not make the 9000 the audiomaster as long as a 3000 is in the system. Reason given is that the 3000 does not have the software to function as a local source.

I had a pair of 1s that I liked very much. Then brought home a pair of 9s to compare. The difference was amazing and the 9s stayed. Interestingly, however, I then moved the 1s into another room. I now find myself choosing the 1s to listen to more than the 9s as something about the acoustics in the room they are now in makes them sound much better than

Nothing too exciting here. Just a blue Beolab 4000. But it was yellow. I just changed the color. I ordered the metal parts from B and O. The blue fabric came from a BV10 grill and was used after I removed the yellow fabric from the 4000s grills. Now my rear speakers match my front 9s and 7-4.
