  • Re: Beolab 1 or Beolab 3?

IMHO, BL1's are a far better speaker when setup and placed properly. Beoaus.

  • Re: its that old RIAA question..again

The BG6000 quad in good nick pretty good. Its a heavier deck and I think has a better sound when connected to a BS9000. You did miss the 1200 series. You would be surprised how a good one sounds. A few (probably rare now) versions have a slot for an RIAA which B&O supplied as an option. A version of the 1203 and the 1202 have this available. I know

  • Re: Stylus Review

My 20CL's sounds better than the 20EN's on pristine records, you may have a dud. Both are similar suspension wise and under the eye glass. I use the 20EN's on more worn recordings. The 4000 and 6000 cartridges I have heard do not have the dynamic seperation of the 20 series. I have thrown out a 4000. I have a new 4000 which I will sell and

  • Re: Beolab 8000 or Beolab 9 - with B7

The Beolab 9's will need a sub with the BV7 if you watch movies. For music you do not need the BL2. BL5's are the only speakers that do both jobs without a BL2. Have you thought of the BL3's and a BL2? Drop me a PM with your details and I'll add to the list for the 2nd Aussie Beoworld function. Cheers, Beoaus.

  • Re: What is the difference between BL7.1 and BL7.4?

Congratulations on a great purchase. The BL7.1/2 is a power full stereo speaker best suited to a BV7 without external speakers. If you add external speakers, in video mode the centre channel will loose its clarity and power. As you will add the BL9's then I would go for the BL7.4 which will create a powerful clear centre channel for Video, DVD's

  • Re: Beolab 5000's vs. 4500's

A few additional comments. The 4500's were continued to a much later date that the 5000's from memory. The 5000's are very large speakers, check the measurements. Even use a stencil on the wall. Check the amplifiers for both. If they fail you will end up with Beovox4500/5000 speakers. Transport of the speakers can be a problem. So they best
