  • Re: Cable accessories from Czech

I have ordered parts from my dealer in Chicago which came from the Czech Republic. It took about a month.

  • Re: Beovision 9 is good value for money!

Ha! It looks like a Yugo which was sold in the US during the 80's before they all disintegrated.

tobeyone: I've been considering a switch from my BV7 MkIII to the BV9 over the last couple of weeks and this thread has finally tipped me over the edge, went out and bought one this morning!! Well done everyone. I think there is a trend here. Congratulations!

Nobody here knows what a Fiat Panda is but I get the idea. I should tell my dealer to send you a thank-you note because this thread has caused me to rethink the Beovision 9. I always thought of the BV9 as rather large and bulky but I didn't think about the fact that all the components are in one system including the center speaker. It is a beautiful

  • Re: Ripping Music - The Digital Age

I agree. Beosound 5 is a windows machine and wma lossless is the way to go. It is more of a dilemma for those of us that are users of iTunes and iPods. I have several hundred albums ripped in Apple lossless format and have decided not to change. I use a good quality DAC and play the music through an airport express either from Apple TV or an Apple laptop

apopboy: On the re-issues: It's true that B&O should keep its innovative image and not become too 'retro'. However, design companies like Vitra also bring re-issues to the market without losing their leading innovative image. It should be possible ... Re-issues could be possible. I was thinking about what I would like re-issued and then

Very well stated apopboy. However why would Apple have anything to do with B&O? Apple may want B&O to use their software for a fee but Apple is really a mass market company. Also I would like to point out that to the best of my knowledge, B&O have never gone retro and reissued a product. Use of wood however would be an interesting design

Is this the end of this thread? I hope so.

Apparently many on this forum think the TVs are too expensive. I understand that position but if you have a house full of B&O products including for example Beolab 5, why is it such a leap to buy the TV? Maybe there are some who think everything B&O sells is too expensive. For the people who think B&O is just entirely too expensive, it is

  • Re: The B&O problem?

Affineur: Hi Alex, I am surpised that B&O has not given you and your collegues a background presentation on their demographic marketing approach. This is the origin of the pricing strategy. It is not clear how you could successfully market the products without this knowledge so shame on B&O. I would expect that they will want all associates
