Basically it's a no. Only some functions work, if you can call it that. Much better to get a Beolink 1000 or if you must, a Beo4. BL1000 is my favourite.

Can you not measure the depth and diameter of the hole in the underside of the Beosound/center??

The remote function of the BG4004 will only function with Beomaster 2400-2

Never noticed a difference to be honest. I have several pairs, some genuine and some hybrid. Don't lose any sleep over it!!

I have 2 X 6000, 1X 4000 at the moment and all absolutely silent. In fact, I have never had a 4000 series that was anything but silent.

I would fit a new belt before getting too technical. I fit a new belt to every turntable that comes in. Makes a world of difference. Martin includes a new servo belt as well.

I've never had one go wrong. I only changed when I went back to BT and they insisted on sending me the new home hub. I've still got my old DSL2740B as a backup but have not needed it. Once I got a rogue ADSL filter identified and sorted I have been very happy with the BT Home Hub. The BT helpsystem........now that is another matter!!
