  • Re: Why are headphone jacks so awful?

Gotta say, those A8's have got the worst headphone jacks i've ever come across. I got through 3 in a month whereby they simply came unstuck/unwelded. I'm using BEATS Solo HDs now and they are truly fantastic. I'm sure B&O was have a crude joke on its fans with those A8s. Horrible sounding bass less things! Surely £25 would

  • Re: DVD 1, Any Good?

I bought mine in October 2005 and it was £750. I'm still using it today. I did notice a considerable improvement in picture quality and I find its sound quality really shines which is good as i've always found DVD rather compressed sounding. I believe mine is the Pioneer mechanism which makes me rather happy as I believe the earlier ones

  • Re: Sky + (large capacity) HD box

I wouldn't have thought that the 1TB Sky+ HD box will be any better. It's an AMSTRAD at the end of the day. I'm gutted that you can't actually buy a SKY box by a resectable manufacturer like Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer etc. I have the Samsung box and it crashes, restarts its menu etc. The problems from this box has made me steer well clear

  • Re: Which TV should I buy?

Personally, I love the BeoVision 10 32inch. I love its iconic design and size. Think it's about £1000 over priced though. At the end of the day its a £700 Samsung screen with B&O speakers and nice plastic. £3500 would be spot on

  • Re: Kalle Hvidt Nielsen is out. Replacing him as President and CEO is Tue Mantoni

Totally agree with the comment from Jon on page 2. Plus, please stop knocking Apple, certain people. They've done more good than any of their rivals. I'm typing this on a white MacBook and this has the clearest screen i've ever come across. Pure quality and great design! I think that B&O and Apple compliment each other very very well

  • Re: DK Business survey confirms Young people under 40 turn their back on B&O

Upon visiting Apple shops in Liverpool, Manchester and London, you only have to see the crowds of young people ravishing the shops! like it or not, B&O have to make the BS8 available in APPLE UK shops in order to show the name, design and product to young people. I remember in 2005 walking into B&O of York with 2 friends after a basketball game

  • Re: DK Business survey confirms Young people under 40 turn their back on B&O

I totally agree with Moxxey. There just isn't the money any more in the UK for the majority of young people. Times are harder now and redundancy is happening to us all. Since graduating from University i've been lucky to enter well paid Marketing jobs, however, i've also been made redundant twice in the last 3 years due to the market. I

  • Re: B and O customer service

Having recently moved to London, I must say how incredibly impressed I am with the service and knowledge at Bang & Olufsen of Hampstead. Joe really knew his stuff and was cool to chat to. (Having had a decade working in Marketing, it really takes a lot for sales staff to impress me but this guy was a credit to the brand). It was an excellent experience

  • Re: Beosound 8 review

Better quality materials, better speaker drivers and DEFINATELY not a cheap plastic remote! Bang&Olufsen would never have made a cheap remote like that a few years ago! Is it really asking too much for a Bang & Olufsen product to be put together in a Bang & Olufsen factory? I don't think from such an expensive brand!

  • Re: Beosound 8 review

I'm starting to really like the look of BS8 when seen in the showrooms. I can't help but think how much better it could have sounded had it been made in Denmark and not outsourced! Whenever I mention it to the B&O shop sales people they seem to go rather embarrased and quickly show me BeoLab 3's instead. Had B&O actually made it
