Nigel, yes I saw it. Maybe that would be good idea but, god knows (and Andy as well), that it takes forever to write down everything you do and take photos. I did it while restoring a JET valve radio a couple of months ago and it took me days to just write the text. I will give it some thought next time though. Shims are tiny sheets of plastic or PVC

Peter has a pair of these, he will know for sure but he is away at the moment. Aren't the frets just held by magnets? I know some other of the larger types from that period are. Martin

The prize arrived today. 1000 thanks, they are REALLY nice and will be framed and go directly on the wall in my hallway. I can tell that the art pieces (because that's whay they are) are printed onto heavy and structured paper A4 size, signed by the artist and superb looking. No, the pins do not come off. If they do the cartridge will be useless. The MMC1-5 range will not fit the Beogram 4000 series, you will need a cartridge in the MMC20- series or a MMC3000-6000. Martin

It could be the above mentioned brakes and it could be the belts. It could also be other things, it's always hard to diagnose without hands-on. Martin
