  • Re: Beovox S45

S45 speakers actually come in three flavours! 1. S45 Type 6302 - three way speakers of the first Uniphase release. Single grille and resin back. I am not sure but I think they had the option of a trumpet floor stand - but I have never seen a pair with these. 2. S45-2 Type 6312 - as the type number suggests, a development of the original with very similar

  • Re: Red Line 140 stand following a SCAM

Welcome to Beoworld - have you thought about having one made? They are pretty simple devices and I imagine any blacksmith will be able to make a copy of the one you have. I doubt it would be very expensive either.

OK. Let it run! I was requested to close this but I suggest that if people wish to continue, then they are free so to do. Members are also free not to answer though!

  • Re: Is Beolab 2 "necessary" with Beolab 1 and 7-4?

The Beolab 1 actually uses the same chassis as the Beolab 9 - which does not need a sub-woofer. However the Beolab 1 is strangely lacking in real low down bass so a Beolab 2 is recommended. For music, I would say not, but for surround sound, it makes quite a difference.

  • Re: Dolby True HD - question for 355f

I have waded my way through this thread - before the thread descends into acrimony , I think we should come to a conclusion. Having studied the evidence, I think the problem lies in the implementation of the HDMI standard and this is no doubt something that will be resolved in the future. BR players clearly have different applications of the HDMI standard

  • Re: Beovox S45

Depends which S45. I guess yours are the ones with two grilles on the front and two drive units as shown here . These do suffer from foam rot and are OK speakers but nothing special. The ones worth keeping are these ! They have a rubber surround to the woofer so should not rot. A great little speaker though some will find it a little bass light. Very

  • Re: Volume output from Beomaster 7000 is low

What are you connecting the devices to the Beomaster with? I suspect that the DIN plug is not wired correctly. Try changing the 4 RCA plugs around.

  • Re: MX7000/8000 question...

The BV3-32 is very similar to an Avant 32. Slightly smaller speaker enclosures but not so you would notice. Very good and under rated set. The 28 is not the same at all and was a loss leader designed to get you into the shop. Nothing like the sound and the chassis is actually the late MX/BV1 chassis rather than the Avant. The only problem I have with

  • Re: Beogram 5005, poor soundquality...

fefe: I'm connecting it to a Beomaster 5000 (the phono socket in the back), they are bought together once upon a time so it should be ok. But maybe the built-in phonostage is damaged/getting old? That should be fine - you really need to try them with another amplifier. Where do you live?
