  • Re: MY LEFT BEOLAB SPEAKER DOESNT SEEM TO HAVE AS MUCH BASS AS THE OTHER....

I take it that it is the speaker? You have switched the speaker input from right to left to check it is not the amplifier? If it is the speaker, it is a fault and get a dealer to look at it.

  • Beogram 6000

Despite my almost pathological ham fistedness, I am attempting to restore my Beogram 6000 that was unfortunately badly damaged whilst at Bellac. Just pulled it apart and cleaned it and have temporarily put it back together again! Somewhat surprisingly it actually seems to work - or at least the motors work and the arm drops at the right place. I need

  • Re: Dolby True HD - question for 355f

Razlaw: You are not discussing it...you are claiming to withdraw. and Telling me to not discuss it any more is not discussing it. Sorry that you can't support your view with any facts and instead have to run to somebody else and ask those who disagree with you to be silenced! As for free speach, I have never once said you should not post your opinion

  • Re: Set-down Adjustment for Beogram 8000 Tonearm

So you don't have to put the deck into the service position which is useful.

  • Re: CD Compatibility Beosound 4000 / Overture

It should play CD-Rs - all my CD players do. I wonder if a component on the laser board is getting tired!

  • Re: Set-down Adjustment for Beogram 8000 Tonearm

He has the service manual - I would take a picture of the switch but my 8002 is in Eastbourne! Anyone else oblige!? The service manual is pretty unhelpful with regards to where the switch is!

  • Re: Beocenter 7700 problems

I would suggest that it could well be fixed. Most of the parts will be at component level and if you are electrically competent, then it is fixable. Much trickier to get cosmetic bits. I would consider other speakers as if they are the late S45 speakers with 2 drive units, you can probably get better ones for the price of fixing these. Look for S45

  • Re: Failing CDX Player

I would hazard a guess that it is the motor. Needs a clean and service. I take it that the solder joints have already been attended to in the past?

  • Re: Not B&O / Ferguson Hill FH007 - any experiences?

If they cost the same as Beolab 4000s, I would take the 4000s - 16W a channel is not going to set the place alight and if you get the sub-woofer, you will have 6 boxes - 4 satellites. a sub-woofer and the amplifier to fit around the room. Not sure how the volume will work either. They do look very different though! The reviews seem a little mixed -

  • Re: Beogram RX2 problem

Phil Hunt: To be honest it could be cheaper to buy another turntable off ebay. Absolutely! Then you could get a cheaper price because you were having 2 serviced at once. It is a problem with Beograms and eBay !
