  • Re: Beocenter 3300 Turntable problems

The arm thing sounds like the often seen tonearm lift problem. We've had that here on the forum several times and I've uploaded a photo a couple of times to illustrate the point to lubricate but I can't seem to find it here now. Martin

The cloth are on plastic frames that are fastened to the cabinets using double-sided adhesive tape. They should pull right off. The drivers are not prone to foam rot but the crossovers are often found to have developed cracked solders and capacitors will have aged. A cap kit is available. Martin

If you can upload a photo of the complete innards (seen from above would be fine). Maybe that will help us help you. Martin

  • Re: 4004 turntable - skips

Sounds like a problem with the tracking opto, most likely a burnt lamp in the sensor housing (below decks). Martin

  • Re: Beomaster 5000 very soft sound?

Philippe, Did you also replace the caps in the power supply circuits ? I am thinking about a specific capacitor, 22uF if my memory serves me right (also part of the capacitor kit). I don't have the manual right here but I remember it as being orange in color, essential for all digitally controlled sound settings and located in the power supply area

  • Re: HiFi Stereo Amplifier 608

A nice price but I am actually not all that surprised. The vintage stuff are gaining more and more attention and respect, especially B&O. Besides, this particular, somewhat rare, amplifier looks to be in superb condition, MINT cabinet and nice interior, you don't see that too often. Martin

  • Re: Beovox 5700 Speaker Cable Hook up and Refinishing

Exactly ! And to get the phasing all correct, mainly if used together with other speakers or setups; Plus (+) from the battery fed to the positive lead will make the woofer cone move outwards. Note; Don't expose your speakers to long-term DC voltages. Use the battery on the leads only for short periods - just enough to see which way the cone moves

  • Re: beocenter 7000 turntable problem

Sven, Welcome to Beoworld ! Wonderful machine. I don't recall exactly how, but I know that the tonearm lowering point(s) adjustment procedure can be found in the service manual and it's fairly easy. Martin

    - Some of which are not even listed in the Beoworld product browser... Could be fun to know the exact differences. Martin
