If it's a MK3 with the contact dots and holes as Damatt describes, I have repaired a membrane in the past with Silver Contact Paint succsessfully. Bloody dear stuff though! It is usually used for fixing heated back windows on cars (Especially Skodas) Andy T.

Craig, the one Peter bought to Manchester for us to 'guess' was for controlling the BM8000 I think. Don't know if it's the same as the 5000 codes. Andy T.

Oh eck! My guess is that it is something you have done inadvertently, Christian. You say the IRs are sending some kind of signal, try to find out what, and that might give you a clue as to what you have done wrong. Perhaps you could try changing channels or switching between radio and CD with your Beo4 whilst the 5 is blinking and see if it conflicts

Hi Mark. I am pretty sure your dealer could order this for you and, since you already have it apart, you should be able to fit this yourself. Don't know the price but, as a guideline, the Beo4 one costs just over ten pounds, sterling. Andy T.
