You can store various set ups - however one normally does so using the serial number. Has your Beo5 got the latest firmware - it should be 1.34a.

Are you sure you have a Beogram 3000? I can only think of ones that take the SP range and the MMC1-5.

I would always get one with decent quality plugs for any cable. If B&O supply one, it should be fine. Don't bother with unidirectional silver ones etc!

If they are bashed about, the value is severely reduced. I think £1500 would be very optimistic. Condition is everything in selling B&O. You can get a perfect pair for £1700.

Sending you an amp would seem prohibitively expensive then! I am sure it must be the amplifier - Beograms are simple creatures and on the whole if the needle is working, there is not much else in the way. The fact you are getting some sound means that some signal is getting through. Always worth checking the connections in the DIN plug though!
