I just acquired a Beomaster 4500 and the sound that it produces is truly outstanding. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but when attempting to program the FM stations I have to push on the Beomaster with all my might to get it to respond…. and then when it does, more often than not it is for the next station. Frustrating! Thank goodness I didn’t

Just to let you know, the Beomaster 4500 Set-Up guide is only providing even pages. Jeff

Thanks Martin, Either maybe the case. It also maybe the lens is dirty after all these years. Maybe.... In any case, the 4002 is again playing records, at least for now. Jeff

My Beogram 4002 suddenly stopped recognizing 45 rpm records. The tone arm passed the LP position, changed speed to 45 rpm but then missed the 45 rpm record entirely and returned to the rest position. Following this my 4002 would not acknowledge an LP record, manually stopping but REFUSING to drop the arm on the unforeseen record. Multiple efforts achieved

I was gifted with a Beogram 8000 that performs well with two exceptions. When play is pressed there is a deep groan as the platter begins to turn. Ditto when changing speeds from 33 rpm to 45 rpm. And I don’t need to tell you how annoying it is to painstakingly set everything up just so and have the deck perform flawlessly for a few plays and then go out of adjustment again. The tracking force has been just so touchy. Truthfully it is very close to being

Hi Martin, Perhaps I didn’t explain things properly. This 4000 was absolutely “destroyed” in transit from Jersey City, New Jersey to Victoria, British Columbia. Cosmetic issues aside, there were several internal parts broken, most importantly, the bearing that holds the drive shaft spindle for the arm mechanism. Both the wheel and

Hi Martin, Yes, thanks to BeoWorld I have the shop manual. What's next? Jeff

My Beogram 4000 is a definite work in progress. Never in my life have I ever dealt with such a temperamental machine. However my question is why does the tonearm drop like a sack of potatoes? With lubrication problems the arm drops or picks up very, very slowly. This is not the case here, the arm moves over the record, stops, and WHAM drops like a brick
