I think it´s only the soundboard and amplifiers in Bv8 being used when linked through ML. Should cope with wear and tear. I have had a linked bed room tv and I´m using it as an audio source, have done so for many years, no wear and tear
Agree. Stefan

Should work, if only audio OR videosystem will be used. If both systems are activated, it might cause damaging the amplifiers, because both systems will send power-up voltage to the Beolabs. The PL Y-adapter is meant to distribute one Powerlink output to two Powerlink inputs , not adding two Powerlink outputs. Stefan

I think, Beo doesn`z want to support the Xtra TV kit any longer. That`s why it`s not on the list. But it should work. BC9500 works wirks BV7-40 using a BL converter and BC9500 works with MCL system. I have a BC9500 myself. BTW the Xtra TV kit and the MCL2 AV are the same product, Xtra TV kit is just without transceiver. Another option should be a Beolink

You set the timers in the mainroom in your videomaster: source, program/channel, date (days), start, stop...In your linkrooms you just set the timer, programmed in your main Beovision, to ON or OFF. This will activate your linksystem from standby and play the source you have selected for the timer in the mainroom. It is not possible to select a linkroom

Years ago I had a setup with BV7-40 as videomaster and BS7000 as audiomaster, connected via BL converter to the Beovision and with an MCL linksystem connected to BS7000. This included several MCL2A links, an MCL2AV for active BL5000 speakers in a linkroom and a BL video for the MX4000 in the bedroom. It was possible to access all sources - audio and
I realy don't understand why it's not possible from my PC, to command the beosound 5 for what I heard from the speaker in the main room and to listen the same music at the same time on my PC ?
It`s because your PC can`t be the remote for your BS5. You can use your PC with Beoplayer installed to access

In Europe audio from video sources will be sent via video connection (coax). As far as I know there is no video link distribution in US models....(?) But you can check it out. Stefan
