Do you get the thinly veiled dig at B&O. I suppose he can't help himself! Good listing, nonetheless. " Not embarrassed by being played through a good system and obviously well suited to Beomaster amplifiers. Good partner for good, mid range amplifiers such as NAD and Rotel. "

I agree with Foxtrott. Easiest to use and most reliable is Beolink 1000. BL5000 and 7000 are either too fragile or to cumbersome to be considered. Both are also notoriously unreliable.
Hi,
My guess would be a problem with dirty contacts on the mute relay? One of my decks had a particularly hard life - someone left it in a damp cellar and the metal corroded. It has however been reborn

Graham
But it's British (traditionally so) and the Chinese love all things British. No idea why, it's a dump, but they love the history, the pagentry and "quaint"
I have said that a few times, but in every segment of the market, that Apple entered, B&O has had to pull out. Beosound 6 - iPod, Serenata - iPhone.
They had to pull out because the products were crap. Nothing to do with Apple
