Yes. I've had my fingers in a large number of these decks and I never came across one with that cover before. And when it finally happened, I was in Copenhagen and the cover in New York... Anyway, with a joined effort and help from Beoworld we got the cover off and everything is working again. I learn from this forum too, you know. Martin

If too much is broken, the easiest thing would probably be to replace the whole front panel. With the Beocord open, don't open the top part up to vertical but instead lift it a bit and pull it forward a couple of centimeters to allow access to the bottom edge of the front (over the edge of a table or similar). There is an adjustment for the tonearm height under the alucover on the tonearm (where the counterweight also sits). Martin
