In that case a Beogram 6000 would be perfect! RIAA included and 4000 type performance.

linder: I have Beolab 3 MKI and enquired about upgrading to MKII. The cost to do the upgrade was $1800.00 USD. The high cost they said was due to a change in the manufacturing process and that most of the components would have to be replaced. I was absolutely astounded and of course decided it wasn't worth the cost. Its probably true that a change

We did start a register but it was not used. Dealers can track back serial numbers as Mobey says so always worth asking for high value products.

ABR = Auxiliary Bass Radiator - the side bits - these are backwardly compatible and will fit the mark one BL3. Probably a change in supplier if truth be known!

The woofers and ABRs were changed in September 2007 - supposed to be improved but sound quality seems the same. There are some small changes to the electrical chassis to compensate. The type number changed somewhat confusingly from 689X to 687X

The SCART for the VHS is not really supposed to be removed - hence, as Andy says, the clip! It has to be removable however so that the VCR can be serviced.
