OK, Hard to explain but here goes... Put the lid together (lid, hinge bar, spring, brackets, rollers and the two long rods). Mount it as far as it will go down (half a hole visible). Make sure the two rollers are as far up the lid as they will go. Problem is that the two long rods are now resting on the top rear rail of the plastic chassis rather than

Marcus, Nice photos ! You are not the first with this problem, I remember facing this problem myself once but I don't remember the solution. Something with the springs, I think. I will take a Beogram apart this weekend and check. Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! Normally, I would have adviced you to get the service manual but, knowing the deck and manual, I'm afraid the service manual will be of no help as it merely shows the parts breakdown and not the assembly procedure. Please let me know exactly, do you have the lid and all hinge parts taken completely apart or is the lid with

I agree that it could be the volume wheel not working on the Master Control Panel. I've repaired several MCP's with this fault, it seems to be quite common. Martin

Any Beogram tangential is worth saving in my opinion, at least it deserves a try. It seems to me that the only things missing (visibly) in the photos is the black subplatter and motor-(eddy-current) coils, maybe some leaf springs for the suspension. These are things that shouldn't be too hard to find, I may even have some, but I suggest you open

Welcome to Beoworld ! Not sure how good you are with electronics but I suppose you need to check if the processor runs, the reset circuitry and other circuits around it, supply voltages etc. Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! This is a very common thing to see. I use normal contact glue, it will hold fine to the plastic frame. A thin line of glue on the back of the frame, stretch the cloth gently, making it fit nicely, press it into the glue and use cloth pegs to hold it while the glue sets. Put some cardboard or similar between the pegs and the cloth
