Ok here is my story: When I was 23, i got crazy about B&O. I always knew about them but never bothered to look further into it. At that age, second year of employment after graduating, I got myself: Avant 28 VCR RF, Avant 32 DVD RF, BL8000, BL6000 (2 pairs), BS Ouverture (3 of them), BS3000, BS3200, BL3 (2 Pairs - MK1 and MK2) amongst things...

And dont start fiddling around with the b&o stereo, showing her how things work :) well, not for too long :) And I nearly forgot! Good luck!!!!!

Is it a sort of short circuit effect that does it? its been happening extremely rarely but I have no idea why?

Just being paranoid, but have you told your laptop to output via VGA out? there is usually a botton that looks like a monitor that allows you to do so.
