moxxey: Beolab: Yes in the new catalog... Beolab, there's nothing in the new catalogue about an updated BV7-32. Indeed, my dealer stated that there are no differences or improvements in the BV7-32 and the HDMI expander module isn't shipped as default with the BV7-32. However, whether a dealer includes the module in their BV7-32's, is another

Razlaw: No, we are waiting for the Beovision 9 with 1080p to compare to the Beovision 7. Then will make final decision on size. So you think BV 7 has better picture than BV 9 HD redy 720p then? Have you compared the two at your dealer and the Bv 7 came out as a winner in your decision? Regards

wtlc2zpx: The B&O web site now officially mentions the new BV7 in their news item. The BV7 page still has not been updated http://www.bang-olufsen.com/page.asp?id=174 P. Funny that the EU Bv 7-40 MkIII have a contrast ratio of 2000:1 and the US Bv 7-40 model has only 1200:1 ?? It must depend on the lover voltage in the US = Low power = Less contrast

Razlaw: I know everybody will think we are crazy but we decided to not get the Beovision 9. We had some concerns about the size perhaps being too big and even at the discount it is a large some to spend without being certain. With regards to a couple of comments that the store must need money or will not be around long I can assure you that is not the

wtlc2zpx: Beolab: But with the new Bv 7-32 Mk III with High Glare panel and the new 4x HDMI expander inbuilt, it is a mini BV 7-40 Mk III i think.. Has this been announced??? Yes in the new catalog and my dealer have a Pre.ex BV 7 MkIII High Glare with HDMI expander and SW upgrade. Regards

moxxey: Beolab: So the difference are just the BS3, 1080p and the cinema box. I should go for the BV 7-32 MK III High Glare if i wanted a 32" ... I saw it at my dealer and the picture looks greater than the old BV7-32 MK III i can say... But the 40" version also has 4 proper HDMI sockets (that handle digital video and audio) and support for

But the BV 7-32 have been updated. The panel are now a new High Glare panel ho has greater contrast ratio and it´s the same type as in the BV 7-40. So the difference are just the BS3, 1080p and the cinema box. I should go for the BV 7-32 MK III High Glare if i wanted a 32" ... I can say that the BV 7-32 are not in such great need of a BS3

Keith Saunders: Beolab, Perhaps you could provide a translation for the rest of us. It is clear that the product manager likes to use a electric screw driver to remove the back panel to show the inside, but what is he actually telling us... Okey! I try to translate in a short sentence. When he demount the LCD panel it´s only the black thin plastic

Have you heard of a Canadian High End company named BrightSide ? They have made a LCD tv with LED back light just for professional use and cost´s twice as much as the BV9. The BrightSide DR37-P Extreme Dynamic Range HDR have 200.000:1 in contrast ratio and 4000cd/inch ! The power-usage are enormous with 2 KW/h ! The chassie have an inbuilt refrigerator
