  • Re: Big Warning before considering buying the new BeoSound/Master 5 System

[quote user="MatsElerud"] First of all, when using BeoSound/Master 5, are you supposed to use BeoPlayer or BeoPort. If not mistaken BeoPort has some additional features needed for more integrated installations with B&O products as BeoPlayer can be used as iTunes to play music just on your PC. After copying most of our original CDs to the

  • Re: B & O starting to fall behind?

Why wasn't your Beosound 1 still covered by the standard 3yr warranty here in the US? Stan

  • Re: Beolink Wireless - Apple Connect

The beoport and beolink wireless are not compatible. This means that the connection between the BS and the BeoPort must be hardwired ML cable, not the beolink wireless. You can use a beolink wireless to distribute music from the beoport to link rooms. You could use an airport express (and connect it to the AUX port of the bs), and it would be a lot

  • Re: Beolab 4000 Vertical Placement

I would say there is no universal right or wrong way. I would say that having the power button (and bass speaker) on the bottom is the traditional placement, but if you prefer the sound with bass on top, then go for it. Generally speaking, you want to the tweater to be near ear level which is why you typically see all speakers with the bass on the bottom

  • Re: BeoSound 5 - scheduled update for Week 29

The options to make these changes only show up after you select the BS5 as Audio Master. Stan

Mats, It seems you have good reason to be frustrated/mad/etc. It was never my intention to say otherwise. I would be mad too. I was just trying to point out the difficult position that B&O has put its dealers (IMHO). Stan

While I completely agree with the sentiments of this thread, I do have some sympathy for the dealer. The big question mark in every BS5 install is the network. Aside from some issues that were eventually traced to hardware or cable faults, most problems seen here (not complaints about functionality) seem to revolve around getting BeoPlayer or BeoConnect

  • Re: What was your First Album?

Either Beatle's Abbey Road or Led Zeppelin II... sometime round '77 or '78... I was 13 or 14... I no longer have these... the Beatles LP was mis-cut, had a big lump on one side so it wasn't round, and I lost the LZ lp somewhere along the way... I did buy an "audiophile" version of LZ II a few years back and was surprized to

  • Re: Is this possible?

Assuming you have the beo5 configuration software, creating a macro is very easy. You just go to the page in the configurator where you assign IR commands to buttons, and assign more than one command to a button (I don't have the software in front of me so I cannot tell you *exactly* how it is done), and there is also the possibility to add a delay

  • Re: Is this possible?

I don't believe the question is whether the Beo5 can do this... it seems that it can do most anything... but whether the BeoPort can support this... I used to use my BeoPort only with a Mac so N.Radio was not available. If the N.Radio navigation works like the N.Music navigation, you would need to build "macros", that would mimic the steps
