They work very good as rear speakers. I've just purchased two Beovision 8's, and experimented with a pair of BL 4000 in a large room upstairs with one BV 8 and the 4000 as rear speakers. The speakers work best for us when canted on the plastic stands made for the units. As long as there is nothing blocking the speaker ( couch, bed, or cabinet

Questions for those in the know: 1. Is the Bikini-shaped speaker below the screen attached, or can be spaced as needed ? 2. What is the HD picture spec capability ? 3. Weight ? Thickness ? 4. PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N ? ( Or is this capable via the BS 3 ? ) 5. Beolink capable ( similar to the BV 8 ? ) Grateful for any guidance you can shed on the subject to

You are correct, in that the video programs take a lot of the 250 memory. USB is one way to connect, with Firewire 400 or 800 a much faster method. I had to train the PC ( and our MacP ) to trigger the external hard drive from searching each and every time when using the Beomedia. This is somewhat like the Beoport automatically performing a scan function

I saw the Beovision 8 this weekend.after calling the local B&O store. Three were in stock and as I know some of the store employees, I was allowed quite a bit of time with the units and a remote. I found I really like this unit. The sound was very good. Impressive for the space alloted to the speakers under the picture. The rubber skin is impressive

How very true. " Aftermarket China. " Items sold on EBAY " straight from Hong Kong " and heavily discounted should raise a critical eyebrow with anyone today. I have no problem with legitimate companies manufacturing in China under licence, but I see more questionable electronic components surface as imitations, right down to copying

There is nothing flimsy about this shelf. It is evident that it is quite well made, and a good price. The seller is manufacturing the piece by bending it in a hydraulic power press, 15 T or more. Zoom up on the third photo and you will note the countersunk mounting holes, also machined. You can lightly sand Alu or Steel and paint it with a flat high

Quite rare. It looks very striking in person. Is this in regards to the pair on sale over your way on EBAY ?

I for one am sad to see Eduard or any member leave BEOWORLD. I read some minor complaint recently from another Dutch member which I hope was not one of the reasons for leaving. Some of us get busy, or distracted, and many things ( family, business, travel ) can lead to less time to contribute as a unpaid, uncompensated moderator. It is a voluntary duty

I was given one of these as a Birthday present last year, and having a B&O earset which I prefer, I later ( and quietly ) gave it to my one of my sons. He said it required about one day to learn the technique of turning it on and off, and apparently it needs to be turned off manually to charge. Luxury: Not really, but it is distinctly a B&O
