It came as part of a package John. Excellent cosmetic condition but when I plugged it in it's dead. Fuse in the plug is OK as are the mains fuses on the back of the amp. I'm too busy to fix it and it's taking up shelf space. That's it in a nutshell. I want rid but it's too good to skip.

The official B&O CD replacement kit is no longer available for non polished clamper versions. This info from my dealer around 6 months ago. Later versions are still catered for. The fault is likely to be capacitor(s) on the servo board although this is a guess as I have never had a faulty one in and I haven't perused the service manual.

Despite checking all the cheap options like drive chord slipped down the back of a pulley or motor/gear lube, this is usually a problem with the top or more likely the bottom sliding rail. Needs lubrication or replacement. General crap collects in the bottom runner and wears it out. Careful application of silicone spray may fix the problem on a temporary
