I have been told that this is untrue and that the Blu-Ray module will be able to play standard DVDs. As for which sets are compatible, any new BeoVision 7-40 will support it. I think Lee may have lost a little information in transit - the writing he refers to is that in the display to the right of the screen. If the writing is red (similar to that in

Their home theatre systems look very dubious. A line-source speaker system with what seems like no sort of waveguides/horns? Not a true line-source I'm really, simply a load of tweeters piled on top of each other which will result in comb filtering...

Although in theory the amplifier should have no real issues at all running at it's highest volume as the input impedance of the Beomaster 4500 (or any other amplifier really) will be so high in comparison to that of headphones. The iPod's amp should easily be able to deliver more than enough power.

Run the iPod on it's highest setting. I know many say run it at around 70% but trust me on this one. The iPod's output isn't really know to be incredibly noisy, and I've found in general they can produce a fair/okay sound (I wouldn't describe them as poor). Nonetheless, when I use my iPod with my BeoMaster 900, I get a huge amount

Yes, it's a statement and something which can help boost B&O's name further.

B&O have produced a few medical products over the years. The one which springs to mind is their monitor (I think it's a heart-rate monitor) which uses gentler/softer sounds and actually looks like something you might see in someone's lounge - the idea being to make the environment for people in hospital better.

Nick Drake - Three Hours from Five Leaves Left from the 'Fruit Tree' box-set (iTunes > Apple TV > 7k system). Stunning, as is all of his work. Pink Moon is IMO the height of his brief (and tragic) career - a flawless, stunningly written, performed and recorded album. The CD has been in the 7000 for a good month or two without being taken

Too many people IMO try and compare the BeoLab 6000 to other speakers such as the BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 3 and even the BeoLab 9 which is IMO ridiculous. The fact of the matter is, for a speaker of the size, they are unrivaled, and still impress me with the sound they produce for their size every time I hear them.
