Cheers Camshaft, On reflection then I think i'll go for an MCP 6500 - shame really coz the 7000 is super cool - but the MCP is the better option on balance i think.

Ok fellas Thanks for your advice. Although the 7000 unit is a seriously cool (& obviously still sought after piece) - it sounds to me that finding a good one in fine condition - AND KEEPING IT THAT WAY IF & WHEN IT GOES WRONG - is getting more and more difficult and expensive. I get the distinct impression the 7000 unit can be somewhat delicate

Hi all, Could anyone give me an idea of an approximate fair market value for a Beolink 7000 remote in good condition and fully working? Are spare parts, battery packs etc. still available if need be...? Cheers, Michael R.

Cheers guys, All getting a bit technical for a mere simpleton such as myself, but i getting the idea of what the consensus is on the matter. Many thanks to everyone, Michael R.

Hello all, Could anyone explain to me the difference(s) if any with running Beovox's against Beolabs off a unit such as Boemaster 5500/6500/7000. I appreciate that with a Beomaster amp unit you can run passive speakers off of it - but what (if any) are the differences of say, using a pair of active speakers over a pair of passives when they are
-
Cheers chaps! All interesting info..!
-
Cheers Tony...I need to find & buy the speakers yet! But sure - if i happen to buy some that could do with new frets....I'll be interested in yours.... Cheers, Michael

Hi Chris..yeah i've seen the £699 ones myself - i'm tempted. There's also another pair on auction currently at £560 - with 8 hrs to go (and another pair with new frets at a grand). I'm assuming the beolab 6000's have never altered internally? The ones i got, although in very good nick must have been some of the earliest

Cheers Brian, Yes, i'm looking for a (relatively) 'newer' pair of Penta's. I believe they made em up until 2000 - so a mid to late 90's pair would do me. As i would be looking to offset them with trading in my Beolab 6000's, do you know what i could expect for my 6000's..? (they are in pretty good condition). How easy/costly
