Well, this has been a good start for the week! I got back from the trip with just a bruised shoulder (shotgun cough ) and a biblical hangover - the country is almost affordable at the current rates! after replacing TR11 (BC557) and some more resoldering, the MX sprung to life, and I've been watching it for two hours straight now! Looks like 60 euros

Reynhorn: I found a repair shop near by that specializes in B&O products and they just laughed at me. They told me they had a stack of those 1203 and just threw them away. We are living in a material world. -Reynhorn Criminals! If I ever get me another Beogram, it will be one of this series. It's so good looking. Perhaps you could try to fix

nobby: Also check the drive transistors for the BUT12 TR11 indeed seems to be shorted. Guess I'll just have to test just about everything (once I come back from my long weekend in Iceland, that is )

Flappo The Grate: thing is , it's only 1920 x 1080 res , so at 103" it probably looks pretty awful Thats about 225 cm horizontally, or a little more than one millimeter per pixel, and the viewing distance for this should probably be more than 5 meters. Doesn't sound too bad to me - I've always wondered what the use of Full HD is at

The " MX7000 won't come out of standby " topic seems like relevant reading and I'll think it over. I'm still open for suggestions, though, if anyone has quick ideas of what the dying BUT12 might have taken with itself to kill the standby supply...

OK, I got the caps and replaced every single electrolytic from 100uF up on the PS/deflection board (except for the two high voltage caps). I also replaced BU2508DF, BUT12 and went through any dubious looking solderings I could spot. However, I still don't have the standby light and obviously the TV won't start. The fuse doesn't blow though

9 LEE: So, how do we raise money? Advertising on the Forum? Making a Gold Membership £100? I would love to hear your suggestions please.. I don't like adverts, but if there is a need, I could probably live with a standard size banner on top of each topic page, or something. As long as they are required to have some class and taste, and not

Hi, and welcome! I'm sorry I can't help with the functional problem, but I'm sure someone else can. Doesn't sound too serious to me, might be a loose contact after transporting the set. I don't think you have other options to connecting than using RF through the aerial input. Most VCR's have an RF modulator, so you can connect

How's the gallery thing going, is it gone completely? I for one will never get tired of looking at B&O products in various - sometimes surprising - environments. I'm sure it's also a resource problem, but maybe it could be limited to a few pictures per member to keep people from spilling their entire memory cards over to Beoworld...

I've never liked the design idea of triangles hanging off of tv screens, but I have to say this looks quite good. It would also nicely cover my window, so I could choose the scenery & weather!
