Puncher: Ahem!......... since when have they been giving an extra two prizes away??? Got me there! I blame the bottle of Chilean rosé I had lying around

joeyboygolf: So what are the odds on winning all 10 in one draw!!! Since they apparently are completely independent events, the probability for that is simply 1/550 ^ 12 ~= 1.3e-33, which is 32 zeros after the decimal point, or 0.0000000000000000000000000000000013... or in other words pretty d*mn slim The odds for winning twice in the same draw are

Well, just be alert in August... the less interest you show, the more of a chance you have of snatching it when it (eventually) slips free. I just got one domain for myself (or the company, actually) after having it sit for several years in the hands of some random guy from St. Petersburg, and after that some time at a domain broker. And got it at the

Well, in any case I tried to see & listen. There's a definite buzz at the tube neck area (I guess from the deflection coils) but other than that I don't hear anything funny. However, since I opened the back cover and pulled the chassis half out to be able to see what's going on, the set has stayed on for an hour straight. I guess I'm

9 LEE: Currently about 550. What are the odds of winning during the 12 Months then? Stats please from one of our maths boffins! 10 / 550 * 12 = 0.22. More than one fifth! Where's my prize then? (this was a little simplified equation, since you can't win more than once in a given draw, but you get the idea...)

Last error = no The set remains in standby after shutting down, so I suppose the CPU is running and would be able to store the error code if it was really shutting down due to power fail signal? The last time the set shut down, I think I heard a not too loud "pop" sound maybe five seconds in advance. I think it's possible something might

Aww, crap. The shutdown business is back again. 15 minutes from a cold start, and back to standby. Audio mode works fine however (the tv stays on for at least an hour), so I'd expect the problem to be at the line output stage? I didn't replace any of the high voltage plastic caps nor the big diodes, all electrolytics are new however (except

Daniel: - PICTURE and << >> changes position of the motorised stand I use [PICTURE] [<] or [>] Neither of these works for me I have a later MX6000 (type 7810, "IT" model, which came with a Beo4) and I haven't yet found a way to control the stand with a Beolink 1000 Mk.2. Any other possibilites? The stand works just fine

I was finally able to listen to this on decent speakers and can't get the smile off of my face. Thanks for bringing this up
