This is purely guess work based on the fact that the kind of batteries used in these are similar to those in mobile phones: I had a pay as you go phone a few years ago that I had let run completely flat and did not use it for about a year. I put it on charge for like a couple of hours and it still refused to switch on. I left it charging for about three

However, the Beovision 3 did go some way by accident or design to incorporate a cabinet in which you could hide VHSs and DVD players. What I have never understood is why the Beovision 3 did not have freeview in-built for the UK market. It is not just B&O that make it awkward to integrate other components. In the mid 90s my friend's brother had

Reporter for MTV cribs: So David why did you buy a B&O Avant for your house David Beckham: Erm because the people in the box open the curtains and face you when they speak. With my old TV I had to move my chair.

However, I have a friend who is an investment banker and is lucky enough to own a Ferrari and I have been lucky

I was unaware that there were composite jacks on an old Avant. I have one with what appears to be all of the optional extras except PinP. However I only have a headphone jack and S-video connnector at the back of the control panel (the bit where the clock is). Am I looking in the wrong place. I also have many game consoles and thus composite jacks would

Same as long scart lead why not get a scart adaptor (x2) similar to the types used in PS2s and Xboxes and then run long composite cables along. Much more flexible than a thick scart cable.

Hi all: Correct me if I am wrong but with regard to tubes the following should be considered: The tubes in the older Avants were the ones that were dodgy and most were replaced under guarantee or would have broken by now in any case and have been changed. However, allthough it can be said that these tubes are probably out of the market place, all television
