jk1002: I think I agree on the external blueray player. I think what may happen to the BV7 is that we see a larger screen. 46" with 100hz. That would be something which wouldn't upset existing 40" customers. I seriously doubt that they would do such a major update this soon after the major update that brought us the integrated BS3. JK

moxxey: The Beonic Man: We don't seem to be having much luck do we Chris? !! Simon. It's people and dealers speculating Simon. A friend mentioned the other day that I first mentioned the upgraded BV7-40 back in early 2007 (March?), so we were talking about this for 8 or 9 months before it was finally launched. They can't then go and upgrade

moxxey: 355f: The BV4 50 and the BV9 are of course an identical product in performance terms. It's weird 335F. I agree with most of what you say about plasma, but if I take a look at, say, Casino Royale on Blu-ray on my BV7-40 MKIII compared to the BV4-50, the BV4-50 looks like it has more noise reduction. It looks more like how the Blu-ray DVD

moxxey: The Beonic Man: To be fair to you Chris, and to be fair to the TV, you are right with what you say. I have seen HD content from Channel 4 on it and some of the footage is very good I agree. The SD footage is awful. I really think it has a long way to go though and I couldn't advise someone to pay BV7 money for the TV you get because I really

moxxey: The Beonic Man: This is a topic close to my heart. Myself and 355f have had many discussions around this subject and I must reiterate that plasma is definitely the way to go. Visit a specialist and see for yourself. Sorry Simon, I disagree slightly. It depends on the source. Some HD programmes through the BV7-40 MKIII are outstanding and even

symmes: I tend to agree with the boondoggle crowd, though I respect the ability of people to hear what they hear. Having witnessed the damage caused by power surges, I strongly recommend putting your good products on a good protector. Just recently learned that excessive light bulb replacement on any given circuit should be a clue that something is

BeoNut1: I need some advice about flat panels, 355f appears to know his stuff, and I thought the rest of you guys might benefit from our discourse. 355f, I've been waiting to purchase two flat panel TVs for some time now, but I keep waiting for some things to be upgraded in the B&O line before pushing the button on a purchase. I'm gradually

camshaft: Samsung LN-T4671. Samsung produces their own panels so the technology is always going to be on top when it comes to panels. Samsung was the first flat panel maker with true 120hz image interpolation (Sony licenses it from Samsung and only applies it in one axis). The interpolation isn't at its finest yet, but the point is its there. I

moxxey: Bingo: Does that mean when there comes a bigger one that the smaller sizes will become cheaper? In my opinion they must :-) I think this is a tricky dilemma for B&O. I agree the TV prices are too expensive, but are they going to do an Apple and announce the BV7-40 MKIII in October, then reduce it by £2K, only 6 months later? Bit like
