If there are no 40" direct LED panels in existence from the manufacturer, then B&O should consider using the same edge-lit panel from the BeoVision 10-40. This will save money in production cost and give the BV7-40 the badly needed technology boost away from CCFT backlighting.
Wow... What a "Technology
Then there is the mute point of paying £2000 for a 46in Samsung with LED LCD 200hz technology which i personally believe is the better technology, or £4500 on a Beovision 8-40 with standard LCD and 100hz technology!
For your information (and Chris too...), the BV8 40 has been updated, there is a new

HD formatting should'nt change anything, as the only protocol that the Mac "see" is the network protocol (FTP/AFP/Upnp/iTunes server...) When using a NAS with iTunes server, you got covers, but only of the played song (you can't have coverflow or album view in iTunes, you just have the list mode), and I've never seen a working

I was replying to markiedee who suggested to output bitstream on a PS3 slim... You're just right Felle, LPCM is the way to go!
bear in mind that if you have the old fat ps3 in the audio settings you must set the audio to linear pcm it doesn't display the hd codecs but will send the audio as hd. and if you have the ps3 slim set the audio to bitstream once you have done that you will be able to get hd audio.
That's TOTALLY WRONG

Wow, interesting... I thought that my Atomic Floyd were bulletproof! The jack of my A8 is a little bit used, but they still work really well, 7 years after I bought them!

1. If you have a NAS, you can set up iTunes in one computer so that all your "iTunes Music" (the whole iTunes directory) is not on the computer, but on the NAS. Setting this on multiple computers may work, but I'm not sure... You'll have to test, but make a backup of your library before, it can be corrupted. You then have access to

Hi Razlaw, The clock issue is only linked to the DVB-HD module... And the diffusion format in US is not DVB, I think... So the module is not the same, so your updates (and issues) must be different!

I'm not only saying that iPod dock is of inferior quality than network shared music (avoid beolink for that as it's outdated), I'm also saying that it's less ergonomic to use that : in order to use a dock, you have to : -synchronize the iThing with your computer (to get music inside. Not All your music, a part of your library). -connect

I think the success of iPod docks is just based on the common ignorance that there are really better solutions... I'll writing a summer "saga" on that on my website in order to educate people (with test of Apple Airport/Sonos, and maybe Squeezebox), but as this is a summer issue, no one will read it
