I was telling Peter last week that I found a pair of 1999 Penta 3's still with the original boxes and accessories for $1000US (about 500GBP). I'm having trouble dealing with the 2 week wait before I'll have a chance to drive down and pick them up. Of course I won't be able to prevent myself from trying to tweak the internals. I'll

If you read the latest "My B&O" you'll know why Peter gave you those selections Personally I'd recommend one of the 3000 or 4000 beomasters from the 70's. Every collector needs at least one of those old beomasters with the slide rules and flip switches!

Awesome Lee, what did you use to paint it?

Looks really nice, but I could imagine thinking using it was awesome at first, but then after some time wanting a normal remote. I really can't imagine finger gestures would be very efficient for certain tasks. How would you switch to channel 812 if you're currently on 127? I haven't gotten my Pentas yet, but when I do those will

TripEnglish: Don't you think that for $2.5k it should have more HDMI ports? Are those HDMIs 1.3? If not, they should be. Does it support surround sound? If not, there should be a module, I think. Otherwise Sony is dead in the water. I imagine the screen would typically be used along with a high quality receiver though, which would have hdmi port

Chris, I also would really like to see a couple more full-speaker pictures of the pentas with blue cloths. I don't mind if they're not clean; I'm just trying to get a feel for the overall look. Thanks!

I think I'd take a B&W PV1 sub over the beolab 2 though. Haven't heard it myself, but have heard great things about it. And B&W is typically less willing to sacrifice sound for style, as B&O is. And the PV1 costs less than the beolab 2.
