It has probable defaulted to Option 0 for some reason. With BL1000 press SOUND 1 STORE or With Beo4 press STBY and LIST together then LIST until OPTIONS is displayed then GO, list until AOPT then 1 Bring back the BL1000, life was so much easier then!!!

The standby transformer 1T1 is burnt out. Common fault on BL6000/8000 and similar circuit on BL4000 Replacement is the cure.

The job is a bit of a pain in the butt, that's one reason why people are keeping their heads down. Member nobby (Neil Briffett) does repairs so suggest that you contact him by PM. He is in Farnham so not a million miles from you.
