Ok thanks guys - thanks for your advice - i can see Lifestyle AV are selling the Beolink converter units 1611 & 1614 at about £60. However, not understanding what you chaps are talking about with the 'Option 0' and 'Option 1' though....? Could you explain that element please? I'm not sure if the Avant i'm getting (tomorrow

Hi all, I've just decided to buy an Avant (it's a 1998 model 28" VCR) - because it's for so little £ i thought 'why not!' I want to hook it up to my beosystem 6500/7000 so I can have TV sound out of the Penta Labs i use with my music set-up. Could you tell me please which cable(s) I need to buy to do this & which socket

Cheers Peter, When u say the remote wont work - do you mean that you need to press the Tape 2 button (as if it were a 2nd cassette deck) - or u mean it wont work at all..? If not at all - how do u go about actually playing the '2nd' cd unit.. ? Cheers, Michael

Aahhh cheers Graham, Didnt actually know there was such a thing as a MkII power-link cable. I shall see if Lifestyle AV has any, if not ebay...or if anyone reading this has any for sale..? Thanks for the help. Michael

Hi all, Just collected pair of virtually mint Penta II's bought via ebay. Connected them up to a Beosystem 2500 with Power Link cables etc. Sound is superb - however, I was expecting to be able to get the digital displays....? Nothing! I am using a 2-way remote (Beolink 5000) if that makes any difference...? Am I missing something quite obvious

Oh yes i agree Jandyt completely - the 7000 is an amazing thing in good condition etc. but seems to me when something goes on it there's a fair chance these days you cant repair it - or it will cost a lot to do so if it's possible. In comparison the MCP is fairly bland, but seem to be a lot more robust, a lot more of em around, and if it goes
