The pins to take out are the two at the open part of the circle of pins. They unscrew and have a small groove in thetop expressly for this purpose - none of the others are removable!

No CD player can be worked by the 2400 remote I am afraid. Only two record players were enabled to work with the 2400 - the Beogram 2400 series (there were actually three types of these) and the B eogram 4004 . The cassette players were not remote control and therewas no dedicated CD payer as they had not been made at that stage!!
