Yes - there is the DVB-S module. No use for Sky but should work for FreeSat I suppose.

We had a speaker demo at Newcastle a couple of years ago when we compared the modern range against Pentas and 5000s (Unfortunately this is how I know the price as the store damaged my friend's 5000s and I bought him a new pair - they showed no inclination to help - I will no longer buy B&O from that store.) The 5000s came out top in looks though

Tim Jarman has a pair and I was surprised that one rapidly gets used to the size - I mistook them for 60.2s at first! Excellent sound and he uses a Beomaster 5500 with them and the sound is still good. They do not seem to be as over powering compared to say MS150s. The bass is also surprisingly well controlled though he has completely replaced the capacitors

I agree completely with you. The Beogram 8002 is probably the last deck that really impresses me. Even that has issues with certain aspects of build quality though the one I have seems to be a particularly good one. The MMC20EN is a very good reliable performer though the CL in a good warm room does have a certain extra flair. The one I really used

My advice would be one of the following: 1. The Beolab 5000 - these speakers sound very good and are the most spectacular looking made by B&O. Should you wish a surround sound system, a pair of Beolab 3000 s would be excellent. You might find that the system is a little bass light for video effects but it will be an excellent audio system. Never heard a pair of mark 2 BL4000s for any time. Therefore cannot comment. Have heard BL4s which do nothing for me. If I have a problem with the BL4 and probably the BL4000 Mk2 it is the fact that the speaker coil is used as an inductor to damp the high frequency switching of the class D amplifier. I believe this is done for space reasons in the BL4

If you have a sound you adore, don't change it! Your ears are what you will listen with, not mine. I find Bose speakers lacking in the midrange and they do little for me but I love BBC LS3/5as which have no bass and precious little top end!! The most important thing is to enjoy your music.

Actually in this case I agree with wonderful electric. The 9000 CD mechanism is not as reliable as most - not surprising really as the poor thing gets shot along a track regularly! Knowing a B&O repairer, I can tell you that the 9000 is a large part of his work! At least the door doesn't fall off any more though! I caanot really see it being

Not completely convinced! B&O has to fit into modern settings and although rosewood matches my house, it is not very modern! I also do not want to see B&O making pastiches of the older equipment but to come up with new cutting edge design. I think the Beovision 5 fits in that category so not everything is bad! Buld quality is another issue though
