The iTrip transmitters are extremely poor. I would recommend going via the audio on a SCART port if you cannot find another way. Neil

There are plenty of dead sets on ebay ... would suggest buying one and swapping the panels ... makes a lot more sense timewise and less likely to get yourself into trouble ... once you have isolated the problem to one area, it will be simpler to perform your repair. Neil

It is not unknown in this model for the EW circuit to fail ... this issue could be attributed to components rather than scan coils. Neil

Yes, the point abot ventilation cannot be emphasised enough ... at best the TV will run hotter than it should and artificially age the components ... at worst it could overheat and self-destruct. Neil
