Look at a Pioneer Kuro- superior in every way to a BV9, or get the BS3 and match it to a pansonic PF10( which is the base ofthe BV4 anyway- then you are not bodging anything”

  • Re: Alternative to the 7-40

mawheele: Having had both a BV3 and now a BV7-40 MKIII, I have to say some of the comments surprise me on this thread. Here is what you'll see as a difference: - Firstly, the BV7-40 will optically look tighter in the room than your current BV3. I found that by not having the large B&O storage unit beneath the display ultimately made the television

Alex: For what you want to do, the BeoVision 7-40 is the only 'seamless' solution. The software has now been fixed so SD appears much better than the original 'pixellated' image many reported. The 7-40 will definitely outperform the TVs you saw in PC world, especially with an HD signal. If you think about it, once you add a BeoLab 7

  • Re: Perplexing BV7-40 PS3 problem

moxxey: I can categorically say that the upgraded software fixes the white flash problem, after extensive testing early this evening. Not seen it once! On a sidenote though, if someone here reported problems with the Apple TV using 1080p (and it appears to be a 1080p issue), it poses the question of how much 1080p testing did B&O do with the 1080p

  • Re: DVD2 - black bars!

....mr anders(son): ...and it will be replaced by DVD3 Blueray/HD DVD later this year Why are BnO going down the dual format route when 1. HDDVD is not now the medium of choice following recent market decisions 2. There are no combo players that do a good job and are profile 1-1 compliant where software/firmware support is available. Lets hope its not

  • Re: The End Of Bang&Olufsen ?

RussR: 355f: One doesnt want to offend anyone on this forum but fact is the BV7 is a poor product when one considers the prive v performance for an LCD. The entire TV issue crystalized right there. OK, so here in the US we have our disadvantages...but all I have ever seen are the MKIII BV-7; so please take that into consideration...I have no opinion

  • Re: The End Of Bang&Olufsen ?

BnO may have well carved out a niche for themselves as a supplier to the more wealthy individuals, but facts are that said people are shoked by the price of most products now. Individuals that previously bought BnO now question the merits of paying the huge sums for Bn0 flat screen technology- or lack of it! One doesnt want to offend anyone on this

  • Re: Power surge

deaddruid: Small UPS' can be bought for under £50. When I worked in a computing services department, we used to buy these to protect our systems, as we'd found them a lot more beneficial (protective) than the alternatives. We regarded it as money well spent, as a minute's downtime could cause us the loss of a week's work. If you

  • Re: Your thoughts on a letter to B&O....

BnO are not the least bit interested in opinions. The very actions over the past 18 months prove that this is a management team totally out of touch with reality. A great shame, altering the stores- as mentioned in a previous post, will not help- I t will bankrupt the dealers. To little and to late- its the dealers I feel sorry for. Its not to late

  • Re: New BeoVision 4 + BeoLab 10 - picture 3

One thing for sure the BL7.1/7.4 looks a bit silly under a wall mounted BV4. If they had designed a rectangle underneath the screen- that wouldbe classed as boring, or a square- to dull. So one need s aslim profile that looks a bit different- what are BnO supposed to make?? What is needed is constructive input! It has to be no thicker than the screen
