Munin: What do you think of this setup ? And which TV would you add? BTW ... do you need the BS3? My setup is almost like the one you have suggested, I have a BV4-50 like Panasonic comercial panel for "casual" TV and a JVC HD1 projector for the "big" movie expirience. You may want to consider that a wall mounted speaker like the

Justin, as a proud owner of a BV3 and an Panasonic 50" Plasma I will not trade in my BV3 for the same reasons you mentioned....for casual TV viewing is still a great TV, DVD look sharp like a knife, colors are perfect and the current $ value is a shame compared to the list price..... However, if size matters, the CRT is just 32", than you

With the current software I have (4.00a) there is no 24p support, so still judder. As far as I know the Pioneer Plasma's have nice feature for a reverse pull down processing (like a few video processor e.g. VP50), so you will not see the judder. However, on my plasma (Panasonic TH-50) I don't see the judder to much due the viewing distance

I think the US BS3 has different connectors than the EU one. The EU one has SCART, the US RCA connectors. Karsten

TerryM: Hi, do you know if the Beosystem 3 works with the Pioneer Kuro(8G) series? I was contemplating this combination, but when I telephoned B & O UK,the response to my enquiry was a curt "Not recommended". Does a Beosystem 3 not act like any other external preamp/processor? My local dealer has offered to bring a Beosystem 3 for me to

I have both a TH-50PH and a JVC HD1. No handshaking problems with both (furtunately). The advantage of the Panasonic commercial line is the RS232 control by the BS3. However, if you are able to strech your budget a little bit further you should take a look at the new Pioneer Kuro line up. Black levels are breathtaking! (and the look is nicer (imho)

Alex: The automatic sound adjustment is a feature of the BeoLab 5s, not the TV. The other B&O speakers offer a simplified version of this in the form of the position switches. I think you'd appreciate automatic colour adjustment after several years of owning a plasma. The colours do tend to deviate over time and the whole screen eventually gains

Unfortunately I am not that expirienced in plasma, lcd and color mangement technology as others here, but an automatic adjustment for the color setup would be not on the top of my wishlist either....understanding the fact that B&O has limited develpment resources this feature would be the last one I would have spent time and money on....
