Looking through the user guide for the Beolink Passive I came across the following (page 7): The socket marked POWER LINK should not be used in a BeoLink Passive setup So what is the power link socket there for?

I have 2 pairs of C75s with no foam rot or signs of it, a pair of CX100s again without (thankfully - although they are starting to go sticky), but my 2 pairs of CX50s have had there drivers or foam replaced. Looking at the surround on the C75s it appears to be made from a different material and looks less likely to suffer than the CXs. I wonder if the

In my bedroom I have an MCL2 connected to my BM5500 driving a pair of CX50s (plus Cona). I also have an MX 4000. If I switch on the TV using the BEO4 I can change channel using the centre button (up and down facillity) but if I try to use the numbers to change channel then the BM radio comes on (TV channel changes as well!) to the appropriate preset

Another question (for the faq?) is which speakers seem to suffer foam rot! Not sure I want to take my RL140s apart just to check if they might suffer as the sound is still excellent If it is the ABR then the RL60s suffer - otherwise it might be across the RL range Moving off RLs and on to Compact Beovox - my C75s ( 2 pairs) show no signs of the problem

This was a very useful forum before - is it meant to fall into the 25 year old bracket now? I know the technology dates from about 25 years ago! I found it a useful arena for discussion about component systems.
