The Beosound 1 can also serve as a Home Entertainment centre, by using the plug socket under the bottom of the unit. This is the same socket used for the IPOD connection. Considering the small size containing 5 speakers inside, the stereo sound coming from a SAT TV box or DVD player is remarkable. It can even get downright loud.

I purchased two Beovision 8 units in February, just prior to the price increase. I observed a dealer demonstration of a BV 8, and was not impressed intially. Why ? The unit was in the process of being cabled to a gaming set. The switch to a television source was SD ( for my viewing ) and not very good, frankly. But the sound was excellent, and the ML

I noted last year in one thread here, that the Japanese had invested heavily in OLED R&D. MITI seems to believe that this technology will be profitable to manufacturers. The last time I checked in 2007, the R&D figure invested was around 25 M Euros. I remain hopeful that wall vids will someday arrive, and that Julie Christie will come bursting
