• Re: Beolab 3 vs Anthony Gallo's Strada speakers

Let's be honest chaps: they do look $h1t compared to BL3s. A bit like an over-sized motion sensor for a car alarm, or perhaps the dissected eyes from a huge robotic fly.
I took issue with the very derogatory and irrelevant nature of the posts. A one word "terrible"

? We're talking about B&O speakers here 'Proof. They're well-noted for their combination of tasteful design and their sound reproduction abilities, so good candidates for the 'tools vs. decorative elements' debate you seem unable to engage in. Isn't that paradoxical, that you can only see the virtue in one aspect of the overall

Nice set up 'Proof, but it's a shame this 'serious music enthusiast' doesn't seem to care about hiding his cable runs. Perhaps he's the kind of guy that wouldn't understand how form can sometimes be as important as function, hence the original diversion to this thread?

  • Re: What camera do you use?
Being on a bit of a RF kick, I also picked up a Hasselblad X-Pan and I am looking REAL HARD at a Leica M6 or M6TTL. As there are several M users here, either 6 and/or 8, I am stumbling over glass. My choices are: 1.) Leitz -probably in the f2 range. 2.) Voigtlander (Nokton) -brilliant in f1+ range at great prices! 3

The Gallo speakers that some deem to be air conditioning units look brilliant in any room - and sound wonderful. Very good workmanship, and everything's there for a purpose related to excellent reproduction of sound. Astonishing sound. [/quote
Anthony Gallo Reference 3.1's? Comparison should not be between them and 3's, but more so the 9's. Wire the Reference 3's with an external amp and activate the second bass coil for tremendous bass response, performance is between Beolab 9's and 5's somewhere. So impressed I bought the last

  • Re: Penta High End! A project

Great, thanks for the advise and the detailed pictures! I found on Internet a pair of BeoLab 200 at a reasonable price, is it possible to simply screw them at the bottom of a BeoVox, and make the BeoVox become a true BeoLab Penta with proper Powerlink connections? Or is it not

  • Re: 6000 Commander Remote

They do come up on their own from time to time. I had my 6000 Quad back from repair for about 1 day, and posted a similar request to yours, when Craig spotted one on a Buy it Now on eBay for £35. I snapped it up there and then, and it arrived a day later. I know I was lucky, but I'm hopeful you'll get lucky too! At least you can buy one
