  • Re: B and O Bicycle?

What!!! Looking at the fixtures and fittings on that bike its a £100 jobby from Halfords. Spray it red, slap a load of B&O letraset over the frame and resell for a grand. The only thing B&O about this bike is the mark-up. 10%

  • Re: Has Bang & Olufsen lost it's product MOJO?

I would also like to add to this thread some of my own opinions regarding B&O and Mojo. Although many have said Apple is the best thing since sliced bread, I'm having real difficulty getting into it. I consider myself relatively young (young to what you may ask?), and have been buying B&O for 15 years now. I don't want to get involved

  • Re: Has Bang & Olufsen lost it's product MOJO?

I do not think B&O have lost their mojo at all. I think the pure external design of any of their products is easily recognisable as B&O (bar the link equipment) from the 70's through to the current day. However, there are some instances whereby the ability to design something unique is rather challenging - flat TV's being one and MP3

  • Re: Celebrating the BeoLab 8000, interview Hi-Fi world w David Lewis

I don't know about anybody else here but I find it fascinating to see that there are people whom as part of their job, review countless audio devices and transducers etc and then go on to own B&O. This guy (Adam Smith) is the second one I have heard of to date who writes reviews and owns B&O. I find it fascinating in that for all the good

  • Re: B&O Roundhay to close

Hate to interject here folks but there is more behind this than intially meets the eye. I know from personal conversations with the owners of Roundhay their side of the story. I know that this store has been struggling for over three years now and that they (the owners) have been doing very well in a couple of stores and not so well in a couple more

  • Re: Has any member ever gone back to older products?

I've just purchased a Beogram 8002 and a Beocenter 9500 (neither of which I have seen yet!). Bought the BC9500 from my dealer (£350) and am assured it is mint and fully serviced. Bought the BG8002 from eBay (£200) and photos suggest it is in good cosmetic order. If the MMC2 is in good order, that alone pays for the deck! It was more

  • Re: I'm losing interest. Sorry...

Flappo, The intention of my post was to describe to the forum how I feel and to try and to mitigate some of those feelings with "what I do and what I do unto others". It offered a civilised personal opinion. I may not be a saint (religious overtones of this post is not intentional) and nor am I the happy-go-merry contributor of lots of zappy

  • Re: I'm losing interest. Sorry...

I too share some of the sentiments of some of the members on this thread. I have been holding off on starting a similar thread but thought it was completely counter-productive. However, as the subject has been brought out into the light, I feel I am compelled to discuss. For me, it has nothing to do with other noble priorities such as raising a family

  • Re: Thank You from BeoWorld

As a follow-on to this thinking and to bring extra coffers in to the Beoworld kitty, would it be appropriate to run an analysis of all the non-gold members who have had a good run on the forums over the last year and then send them a nice personal news letter asking them to consider upgrading? Fair use policy? 10%

  • Re: How far is too far?

I have sort of re-hashed the comments below from an earlier thread of mine. It is basically the known price of B&O products of yeasteryear inflated for todays (2007) prices using the UK RPI index. I will have to do a more thorogh study but to me, there is an "over-inflation" in the price of TV's but everything else - it may supprise
