You will need a couple of 2 pin DIN loudspeaker plugs.

This is not a problem that I have seen. You could try unplugging from mains, leave for couple of minutes, plug in again. Have you changed anything recently? Lightning strike/power line down or other power surge in the mains?

Hoorayyy!!!!!! Vindication for Joeyboy. How many times have I been castigated for daring to say that I can't tell the difference between the various B&O CD players or amplifiers. Judging by the tone settings on some of the second user items that I buy, I would be surprised if many users knew what audiophile sound was anyway!!(Max treble boost

Lifting the top flap is almost guaranteed to break the clips that hold the flap down. Here is the relevent page from the service manual

The standby transformer for Jandyt's BL8000 cost him £34 from B&O. Should be similar for BL4000
