Both classic faults I'm afraid The spring you could try and retension but it is a bit fiddly to remove and put back together and the plastic tags tend to break. The hinge mechanism may just have come off the spring but can break because the special grease B&O use (to give that smooth open movement) gets too sticky and folks force it. You can
