I understand the confusion - the Beolab 2 manual is made to cover all eventualities. In your case, simply use the sub-woofer socket on the TV. Just to muddy the waters slightly, some people prefer the sound with the speakers attached to the audio unit rather than the TV. This ios particularly true of earlier surround sound sets! You connect the BL2 to the sub-woofer socket. I am not sure which manual you are reading - sounds like the original Avant. This set had different surround modules with the original one not having the sub-woofer socket. The 7-32 will have a sub-woofer socket.

BeoCom 2 is on page 36-37 and BeoCom 6000/1 is on page 32-33. You are correct there are no specs for these or the BeCom 4, which is also in the catalogue - just those for the BeoCom 5. No doubt the details, as with most of the useful specs, are in the website.

The numbers are quite confusing - I'll have a go at simplifying things: There are two main types - the FM only and the multi-band. The FM only are the 400, 500 and 505. The 400 differs from the other two in that it requires an external transformer - the BeoPower 600 - to run off the mains. The 400 and 500 were available at the same time, though

I didn't understand what you meant by spider's web layout (apart from the cobwebs!) but that last picture makes it so obvious! Once again a superb pictorial adventure! I eagerly await the next set!
