  • Re: advice re replacing some Beovox s 55's for beomaster5000

I second what BenSA says. I have refoamed and rebuilt the crossovers on anumber of Bepvox speaker - all with success. Certainly a lot cheaper than buying a replacement set on eBay

I was going to open up the BC7700 to have a look at the cassette to verify rotted belts and give the thing an overall visual inspection ... but I went Xmas shopping and ran other errands all day. ... and now I am sketching up a canvas or two for yet another "art" project

Bums me out - I was hoping to slide by on a simple cleaning and belt replacement. I am getting ready to put the CD 3300 back together after replacing the belt and recapping

  • Re: CD 50 problem

Ok then, did have one player where the flywheel had slipped loose from the cam underneath. Had to fit the two back togther and realign the flywheel so that everything would open close and load in proper sequence. As I recall it was a fairly easy fix. The other possibility is the contacort is out of kilter a bit. I have had that happen as well.

Remove the block hook at the front of the player facing outside (easiet) and you will be able to jiggle the laser block out and expose the gears and contacts. Give everyting a good cleaning. I use deoxit on the electronic components then Isopropol on everything else I was thinking from memory that the contacts are visible when the laser block is al
