wtlc2zpx: The thing about Apple Lossless is that it is available in iTunes, which has become the predominant tool for managing our music library. Yes, I understand - but as I don't have that or any other Apple product, I can objectively look at it as just another attempt at vendor lock-in If it can be licensed without some ridiculous conditions

soundproof: 3. I do however feel that a modern, digital playback system should have lossless options in addition to lossy - if only for peace of mind, in knowing that you do not have an unnecessary filter between yourself and the music. Personally I don't believe either that lossless must be there for quality reasons. But leaving it out would be

I probably won't be satisfied until I have a 900RG as well... (fat chance finding one in Finland, though). That 900K spends the warm seasons at the summer house, the other one is in use on the girlfriend's

I now have 3 Beomaster 900's (I didn't have an M model before, so I just had to buy this nice unit with a black front, type 2222-3...) and two of them have trouble with the signal strength / tuning meter. Basically it works, but it will not lower below a certain point. It seems to be a mechanical problem, since the needle stays high even when

Not a bad idea. Perhaps there's a market for iPod leads to the Grammofon connector?
