I will wait till I have had a decent play before deciding. Really wished I could have gone to the launch but the timing was impossible. No doubt Lee will have some good stories to tell though.

I am using a white 5500 - Beomaster and Beogram CD at present. The CD player is probably the best made by B&O - certainly the best motor and it may be one of the rare ones with a TDA1541P DACs!!

Is it at exactly the same time? It may be that it has been programmed with a two way remote. The programming will not show on the check function.

Breaking into these is very easy and a good clean would be my first effort. There are two captive bolts at the back of the player. Loosen these and they slide down. The top can then be simply slid off and you can then see the innards. Clean the CD lens with a cottin bud and some alcohol and just bow all the dust away. I would suggest blowing rather

Perfectly true. The link room uses an RF signal so the picture will be SD - and probably not that great SD either. The new version of ML which has been promised for some time will address this. The problems with this lie with backwards compatibility. Up to now, it has been possible to use really quite old products in a modern system - I, for instance

I also have a dim memory that if the set is two way, there may be some chance of programming. I may however be wrong here. I attach the sleep timer page.

As far as I am aware, there is only a stop timer in the 2300 which allows you to set the radio to switch off after a variety of times. This bis activated by pressing Radio then Stop a number of times - the desired time is shown on the display. Probably not what you wanted to hear. Sorry.

Thank you for posting that Dave. Makes me want a pair even more but I am about to invest in a trumpet instead! Hopefully one day, it will make a sound worthy to be played via BL5s!
